Take Charge Delaware Woman Certification
The Certificate Program provides you with the tools to better understand and take control of your finances. Women have unique financial needs and this program is designed to help you meet those needs by encouraging you to participate in FREE financial education through Delaware Money School classes and From Purses to Portfolios Community Events.
Complete ten or more hours of financial education and receive a Take Charge Delaware Woman (or Man) Certificate!
Six Levels of Achievement
- Level 1: Complete 10 hours of classes
- Level 2: Complete 20-29 hours of classes
- Next Level: Complete 30-99 hours of classes
- Treasurer's Circle: Complete 100 or more hours of classes
- Ambassador of Financial Education: Complete at least 250 hours including a minimum of 50 hours of pre-approved volunteer work in financial education
- Platinum Portfolio: Complete at least 500 hours including a minimum of 50 hours pre-approved volunteer work in financial education. In addition, create and manage a monthly (or more frequent) Money Club or Money Support Group (can be done as an online group).
Take Charge Delaware Women (and Men):
- Receive a certificate and special gift
- Receive recognition for each level of achievement at celebrations
- Receive VIP passes to special events and biennial Fall Conferences
- Receive a listing in the Financial Hall of Fame on www.pursestoportfolios.com
- Become a member of a dynamic Community of Learners and meets others who are
- Gain the tools to make the best financial decisions for themselves and their families
- Download a copy of the From Purses to Portfolios brochure
- Check the Delaware Money School's quarterly class newsletter and/or website to decide which classes to attend. All classes are FREE.
- Register for classes online or toll free at 1-877-307-6858.
- Fill out the class log in the From Purses to Portfolios brochure for each class you attend.
- Bring the log to each each class and have the instructor sign it.
- When you have completed at least 10 class hours, send a copy of the completed log to: DFLI, 3301 Green St., Claymont, DE 19703.
- NOTE: To qualify for recognition honoring Take Charge Delaware Women (and Men), completed logs must be postmarked no later than September 15.
